About IAWTI
The International Animal Welfare Training Institute (IAWTI) embraces the One Health concept and the interconnections of humans, animals and the environment. We are committed to training, research and service that includes all animal species and the impacts to the environment. The One Health concept is a worldwide strategy for expanding interdisciplinary collaborations and communications in all aspects of health care for humans, animals and the environment.
The International Animal Welfare Training Institute benefits from interacting with individuals on and off campus. Our primary tasks of addressing animal welfare concerns include implementing training, conducting research and providing service and outreach. These endeavors are supported by a broad range of expertise from UC Davis faculty and staff as well as off campus affiliates around the world.
